WHAS Annual Show 2022 August 28th and 29th
The Society's main event of the year took place over the bank holiday weekend and we are pleased to report that all the planning and hard work once more culminated in a successful show. Approximately 400 people visited the Courthouse Ballroom to view the exhibits, with many more visiting the Craft Fair in Pageant Gardens. As usual the Refreshments Tent did a brisk trade, as did the Plant Stall and the ever popular Tombola Stand. In addition to a variety of local craftspeople, two Pageant Garden stalls concentrated on how gardeners can re-use and recycle in the garden to help protect the environment. They provided lots of innovative ideas, including how to make a wormery from unwanted red recycling boxes! The Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Singh Birdi, kindly presented the prizes on Monday afternoon, after which all exhibits which hadn't been collected were donated to the Helping Hands food bank in Leamington.
Many thanks to everyone who visited the show and especially all the members who volunteered their time to help make it such a success.
